February 20th 1993: ISAS, the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science, under the Ministry of Education, Science, and Culture, launched Astro-D, as Japan's 4th X-ray astronomy satellite. The world expects this satellite to fufill it's important mission in the 1990s.
