The ClassX project has generated a variety of training samples to use for classifier training since the project began. In general, training samples have been based on lists of classified X-ray sources from either the WGACAT (White-Giommi-Angelini Catalog), or the RASS BSC (ROSAT All-Sky Survey Bright Source Catalog). Classifications for a subset of the RASS BSC sources were provided by W. Voges of MPIE, in Garching, Germany.
