The Chamaeleon cloud II is suitable for X-ray studys of pre main sequence stars and proto stars because of their proximity and relative small size. Main purpose of mapping observations of the cloud is to make clear the mechanism of star formation and star evolution. Scientific objectives are summarized as follows. (1) Search for pre main sequence stars and proto stars embedded deeply in the cloud. (2) Determination of the spectral parameters. (3) When do X-ray activities start ?
