ASCA FIRST OBSERVATION OF ISOLATED WOLF-RAYET STARS.

ABSTRACT

We propose the observation of isolated Wolf-Rayet stars. Wolf-Rayet star is the energy supplyer to the universe, as well as Super Novae. And we can observe the fusion process inside the star, because it lost its outer shell, as its unique and enormous stellar wind. So it is important sample for the evolution of stars. After the launch of ASCA, it observed Wolf-Rayet BINARIES only. But their spectrum have not only the information of Wolf-Rayet star but also that of its companion. So, no one had the good spectrum of isolated Wolf-Rayet stars. Terefore we propose the ASCA FIRST observation of isolated Wolf-Rayet stars.
