SEARCH FOR THE DISKLINE FEATURE OF THE IRON K LINE FROM THE NEARBY QUASAR H 1846-786


ABSTRACT

The discovery of the broad and skewed iron K line profiles in many Seyfert 1 galaxies shows that the line is emitted in the innermost region of the accretion disk around the central suppermasive blackhole. On the other hand, up to now there is no report to detect the similar iron line profile in quasars. This can be due that the central region in quasars is different from that in Seyfert galaxies. Here we propose to observe the nearby quasar H 1846-786. From this observation, we will search the diskline profile of the iron line in the quasar and clarify whether the physical condition close to the central engine is similar or different between Seyfert galaxies and the more luminous quasars.
