BIPOLAR OUTFLOW PLANETARY NEBULAE SH2-71

ABSTRACT

Sh2-71 is a luminous(>1000times solar) planetary nebula which shows eclipse by a cool A7V companion with short period (<0.5days). This object shows high (+/-500km/s) and moderate(20km/s) velosity components. The former is originated from collimated outflow which shows the existence of strong magnetic field and the latter is from expanding disk nebulosity. The ratio of Ha/Hb equivalent to logNH=22 and high mass loss rate of 6x10-6[Mo/yr] indicates obscured violent activity of this magnetized close binary system and the object is understood to be a candidate of proto Cataclismic Variable. To seach for the X-ray activity of this object, we propose the ASCA 80ks observation .
