EXTREME X-RAY VARIABILITY IN THE NARROW-LINE QSO, PKS 0558-504

ABSTRACT

Now, in AXAF/XMM area, we have to propose the subject that is compatible with AXAF/XMM. X-ray variability is a distinguishing property of AGN, and the energies and time scales of the emission dictate that the X-rays must originate very close to the central engine. Recently it is found that the narrow-line Seyfert 1 galaxies show the largest variability in AGN, giving one order magnitude of the variability than normal Seyfert 1 galaxies. There are also narrow-line QSO similar to NLS1, but they have longer time scale of variability. Here we start to propose the NLQSO, Pks 0555-504.
