ACCRETION PROCESS IN LOW LUMINOSITY SEYFERT GALAXIES - MULTIWAVELENGTH STUDY OF ADVECTION DOMINATED DISKS -

ABSTRACT

We propose ASCA observations of the low luminosity (LX <10^41 ergs/s) Seyfert galaxy NGC3245 to clarify its accretion process by measuring iron emission lines and continuum shape. We measure Eddigton ratio from an X-ray luminosity and blackhole mass determined with HST STIS data. An advection dominated accretion flow is expected to be present under low Eddigton ratio as in NGC4258. In this case, a disk is heated up to extremely high temperature and iron atoms are fully ionized. Thus we expect no iron emissin lines. We already have VLA and HST optical/UV data for these galaxies and X-ray data will be also used to compare spectral enegy distribution with advection dominated models.
