The US Astro-D archive will contain all the Astro-D data: those in which the US has an interest, i.e. those observations that are pure US or joint Japan-US, as well as data that are wholly Japanese from the guest observer section of the mission. The US and joint Japan-US data will become public domain one year after the delivery of data products to the GO, while the Japanese data will become public domain after a longer period, as yet undetermined. Public domain data will then reside in the HEASARC database system and hence will be accessible worldwide. A list of of the available data sets will be placed in NASA's master directory system.

All PV data will be publicly accessible one year after the end of the PV phase.
