The ASCA light curve of the magnetic cataclysmic variable AO Psc. The observation lasted ~2 days; the spin period of the magnetic white dwarf (805 s) is clearly visible as the prominent and regular intensity variation. This is because X-rays are emitted from near the magnetic poles, to which the accreting gas is channeled.
