Christopher Wanjek is the science writer for NASA's Structure and Evolution of the Universe science theme. His primary focus is on media outreach. As such, Wanjek searches for interesting, new science results and turns them into press releases and news articles. He also writes brochures, fact sheets and web articles that support the SEU theme.

Wanjek received a B.A. in Journalism from Temple University in Philadelphia in 1990 and a M.S. in Environmental Health from Harvard School of Public Health in 1992. He interned as a writer at the National Institutes of Health in 1991. Following a one-year teaching stint in Japan, Wanjek worked at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and then Columbia School of Public Health before coming to NASA.
