The purpose of the INTMAP program is to generate the intensity
and exposure files for the input event file and these will
obviously be the main program outputs. In addition, a program
report is generated on the printer and the SKYMAP directory is
updated.
- Output FITS files: The exposure and intensity files:
these files are totally
similar to the event SKYMAP files. The only difference
is in the header, the data type and the file names. Refer to the
Program Definition document for more information. Once generated,
the files become part of the FITS database and may be displayed
by the SKYMAP program.
- Program report: the report will list relevant information
about the execution. The program title, version number and date,
the name and directory information
of the selected file will be printed. The input file
header, the calibration and exposure history file names, viewing
period number and the header of the output file appear on the report.
