pte.nml.name

This is the output file generated by sensin [section 3], and the input file for pointexp [section 5]. It is a namelist (PEVAL) used to initialize many values in pointexp . It could be directly modified, for exmaple, if a SunView or OpenWindows workstation is not available, or if the default zenith angle cutoff needs to be changed.

The most important variables are:

EVCLAS
(integer) the event class (1=A+B+C)
EXPHST
(character) a template of the exposure history file name
CRVAL1
(real) the RA in degrees
CRVAL2
(real) the DEC in degrees
STRTIM
(real*8) the start time in truncated julian days
ENDTIM
(real*8) the end time in trucated julian days
NAXIS3
(integer) the number of energy ranges
ENERGY(2,10)
(real) the low (1) and high (2) values of the energy ranges, in MeV
SPECIN(10)
(real) the spectral indices for each range
ZENMAX(10)
(real) the zenith angle cutoff in degrees for each range
