After the "<Run>" button has been pressed and no errors are encountered, the
PULSAR window title bar will be grayed out and the cursor will become
inactive as the program calculates phases. For large files, the
processing may take some time. The resulting histogram will be plotted
below the input panel. The pulsar name, period, period derivative, position,
and reference epoch values will appear in the plot annotation. In addition,
the source file, start and end times of observation, energy, incoming angle,
and zenith angle limits, number of bins, and total number of counts will be
listed. The results of the tests for uniformity will be displayed on the
side along with the time between the reference epoch and the reference radio
peak and the corresponding phase location of the radio peak. When the
processing is finished, the PULSAR window title bar will return to normal,
and the cursor will become active again. If the "<Print Histogram...>"
button is pushed, the user will be asked to confirm sending the PostScript
version of the plot to either the default or to the color printer specified by
the environmental variable $EGRET_PRINTER. The temporary PostScript file
containing the histogram plot is stored in /tmp/histogram.XXXXXX where XXXXXX
is a unique suffix. It is removed when the "<Quit>" button is pushed,
so if the original PostScript file is desired, it must be copied from the
/tmp directory before quitting the program. If the PULSAR window is resized,
the current histogram will automatically be rescaled; the PostScript output
will not be affected.
