SPECANAL is a high-level tool for performing spectral analyses from the OSSE database. At present, it is designed for use with observations of point sources which have corresponding background pointings. It can operate with a set of system-defined defaults to generate a preliminary analysis of the data for a specified target and viewing period. For the more advanced user, keywords and configuration files permit alteration of the default settings so that more customized analyses can be performed.
