1.4 Syntax Conventions

The following syntax conventions are used in this manual:

• The main IGORE prompt is printed as Igore>. The actual IGORE prompt may differ, depending on the local system configuration.
• IGORE commands, parameters and keywords are specified using San Serif font.
• IDL commands, parameters and keywords are specified using Typewriter font.
• Square brackets ([ ]) are used to indicate either that the enclosed items are optional parameters or, in the examples, as the IDL array concatenation operator. The intended use should be clear from the context.
• Curly brackets ({ }) are used in the examples to provide parenthetical comments and are not part of the command line.

Unless otherwise stated, all user inputs are assumed to be terminated with a carriage return.
