EXOSAT RAW LE Events FITS file

This FITS file contains 4 Binary table extensions

Table#1 STDGTI - The Good Time Interval for the Observation. Generally this is a single row with a START and a STOP time

Table#2 EVENTS - The photon events table. The columns are

• TIME : the photon arrival time on the detector
• X : The X coordinate of the photon on the CMA detector
• Y : The Y coordinate of the photon on the CMA detector
• PHA : The channel in the sum-signal distribution

Table#3 EXPOSURE - A table of fractional exposures for 8 second integration of the data.

• TIME : Time in seconds since TIMESYS
• FRACEXP : includes deadtime effects for the telemetry events loss as well as for the deadtime due to the electronics.
• DEADTEL : includes only deadtime effects for the telemetry events loss

Table#4 OBC_PACKET - contains data from each telemetry packet. From this extension one can generate fractional exposure tables for any integration time.

• TIME : Ground time
• SHFTIME : Short history file key
• PRTIME : Packet reference time scale 2^-14
• BCTIME : Buffer collection time scale 2^-5
• BAD : Background rejection counter
• SAMPLES : Number of samples in packet
