The HEASARC Style Guide
This Style Guide is essentially a template that I recommend you to use as a basic starting point, to help us keep some conformity of both internal (HTML) and external (screen appearance) styles.
It can sometimes be tedious reading HTML, if the author has not taken any care to lay things out neatly. So I ask you to please be liberal with tabs and blank lines! And remember that most users won't be excited by a huge mass of text in small font - be brief, be bold!
Here are some specific points:
- Readability
- Accessibility (including Section 508 & NASA policies)
- Browsers
- Device Independence
- Consistency
- Relocation of Files
- Signatures
- HEASARC Specifics
For more guidance on writing HTML, see the list of helpful "how-to-html" documents.
