The HEASARC is in the process of cross-referencing the data sets held in our archive, with the peer-reviewed publication data from the ADS. On the ADS results pages, you will also find links (designated by the letter D) to data archives (i.e. HEASARC, MAST). These links take the user directly to a page displaying the data sets used in the publication of that paper.
Below is the current status of this task in regards to the current
missions we support (ASCA, CGRO, ROSAT, RXTE, XMM-Newton)
N.B.: This process is being conducted on a best effort basis by the HEASARC. While we believe that the vast majority of these cross-references are correct, there are many sources of confusion and error, especially in some of the larger surveys and review papers.
