BeppoSAX NFI Archive at HEASARC

• Archive agreement with the BeppoSAX SDC :

  • HEASARC exchanges ROSAT & ASCA public archival data for the public BeppoSAX archival data using CDs

• HEASARC delivered the ROSAT archive in April 98

  • & the ASCA archive every 6 mns (completed 30 Jan 2002).

• The initial SAX data flow to HEASARC was sparse, due to the lack of resources at the SDC

• Data delivery improved notable in the past year and half

  • Includes new and re-processing data sets

Now 86% of the NFI SAX public data are in the HEASARC archive

• Archive differences : HEASARC has both raw & screened fits file on-line

• Archive differences: The aspect was recently re-calibrated :

  • In April 2002 the SDC changed the reference coordinates in all the MECS & LECS screened event files
  • At HEASARC the data files are unchanged. A script (provided by the SDC) is available to correct the appropriate header keywords
