Where can I find information about detected PSPC sources?

As of Apr 1999, there are 2 widely used lists of sources detected in ROSAT pointed observations with the PSPC. A catalogue of ROSAT sources (the ROSATSRC catalog) compiled from the SASS processing of PSPC datasets has been compiled by MPE. A source catalogue (the WGACAT catalog) has independently been compiled by Nick White, Lorella Angelini and Paolo Giommi by running the source detection algorithm available in the XIMAGE software package on available archived data. A comparison of the two is available at ftp://ftp.xray.mpe.mpg.de/rosat/catalogues/1rxp/wga_rosatsrc.html

In addition to these lists, there is a "Bright Source" catalogue derived from PSPC observations obtained during the ROSAT All-Sky Survey. For more information see http://heasarc.gsfc.nasa.gov/docs/rosat/ass.html.
