Do the H-V variations convey real gain changes?

Apparently not. The H-V plot shows the variations in the H-V MONITOR, not the H-V itself. Don't ask. I don't understand this either. A screening has been introduced into the SASS processor to remove the first ~18sec of data when the H-V is first switched on.
