Early Release Data

2005 December 2

The Suzaku project at ISAS/JAXA have released selected calibration observations from the early phase of the mission. Please note that both the software used in processing these data, as well as calibration of the instruments, are still undergoing development. Therefore, the current versions of these data are not necessarily of publishable quality. These are primarirly intended as demonstrations of Suzaku data quality, and to allow the community to become familiar with data formats and post-processing analysis steps.

Currently, these data are available via the following link to ISAS/JAXA:

As data files may be revised and additional sequences may be released, please check the above page from time to time. We intend to host copies of these data at GSFC, once we reach a stable situation.

The early release data can be analyzed with the publicly available HEAsoft:

For any questions regarding the early release data, US-based researchers are invited to submit them to the US Suzaku GOF in the first instance, using the Feedback link below.

If you have any questions concerning Suzaku, visit the Feedback form.
