Whenever possible information presented in this document comes from in-flight observations. A few plots are based on model simulations using the XMM-Newton Science Simulator (SciSim) though.
Information on flux to count rate conversions comes from the HEASARC PIMMS software provided by NASA's XMM-Newton Guest Observer Facility. The SOC supplies updated information to HEASARC so that PIMMS always reflects the latest EPIC and RGS calibration.
