Foreign nationals will not be allowed to stay at the dorms located inside the NASA center.
Moreover, in the event of a war with Iraq, it is possible that foreign nationals will be denied access to the site. Please understand that we have no way of guaranteeing that this will not happen but that unless the war breaks out during the school, we will know beforehand if this will be the case or not. We are also looking at a back-up conference center nearby.
For foreign students or people who do not want to stay on base, we have blocked rooms in the following hotels:
1. Waterside Inn
2. Refuge Inn
3. Hampton Inn
4. Comfort Suites
You are responsible for your own hotel reservations. The deadline to benefit from the school reduced rate at the hotels is March, 31, 2003.
Please mention "X-ray Astronomy School" when calling in for reservations for all hotels except the Hampton Inn where the code is "XAS".
As there are no restaurants in the vicinity of the place where the classes will be held, we strongly recommand renting or sharing a car for getting around.
