change in asca nra deadline

THE DEADLINE FOR THE ASCA AO3 NRA HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO:

                 ****** 30 August 1994 *******

The reasons for this 2 week extension are:

- it is not possible to complete the AO2 priority A and B proposals by 1994
Nov 14, and to allocate supplemental observations for the insufficient
exposure off AO1 observations. The AO3 period will now cover 1994 December 1
to 1995 November 30. Proposals for time constrained observations in the
interval 1994, November 15-30 will still be accepted if it can be demonstrated
that the observation can only be made during that interval.

- there have been a number of delays in distributing the technical
appendices, because it took longer than expected to collect all the
required information. They are now at the printers and we expect
them to be in the mail by the middle of next week. The relevant files can
be copied from the anonymous ftp area on legacy.gsfc.nasa.gov under
/asca/nra_info/ao3_appendices.

All questions regarding this NRA should be sent to
