Reminder about the ASCA archive

Dear ASCA PIs and Archival Researchers:

This is a reminder about the ASCA public archive.

Opened on November 15 last year, the ASCA archive now contains a total
of 237 sequences covering the first nine months of operation. New
sequences are added on the 15th of every month as more and more
observations become public. To see what's available, you can either FTP
anonymously to legacy.gsfc.nasa.gov and copy the file:

   asca/data/ascapublic.txt

or you can access the ASCAPUBLIC database in HEASARC using BROWSE.

Instructions on extracting data from the ASCA archive can be found on
the ASCA GOF homepage, the URL of which is:

   http://heasarc.gsfc.nasa.gov/docs/asca/ascagof.html

Please look under "How to access the ASCA archive".
