XMM-Newton AO-10 Long Term Plan
===============================

The scheduling of the tenth cycle of XMM-Newton observations, AO-10,
started on May 1st 2011 and is expected to finish at the end of April
2012.

On May 6th, the long-term scheduling plan for the AO-10 period has
been released at:

     http://xmm.esac.esa.int/external/xmm_sched/advance_plan.shtml

Principal Investigators of pending XMM-Newton observations can check
this plan, especially if scheduling constraints were granted following
the Time Allocation Committee recommendations.

11th XMM-Newton SAS Workshop: deadline for registration May 27th
================================================================

As announced in XMM-Newsletter issue #119, the 11th SAS Workshop will
be held at the ESA's European Space Astronomy Centre (ESAC) in
Villanueva de la Canada (near Madrid, Spain) between the 6th and the
10th of June 2011.

SAS Workshops aim at providing XMM-Newton users with a basic
introduction to the procedures and techniques to reduce and analyse
XMM-Newton data. The 5-day workshop is organised around 5 half-days
of presentations and 5 half-days of practical training sessions. The
sessions cover all aspects of data reduction and data analysis for the
X-ray instruments and the Optical Monitor on-board XMM-Newton.

The pre-registration deadline is now over and final registration
deadline has been set to Friday May 27th. Interested persons that have
not done it yet are encouraged to register. More information about
the workshop and registration process can be found at the following
page:

No fee is required to attend the SAS Workshop.

Yours sincerely,
