ASCA Weekly 941019-29 revised

Dear ASCA users;

An outburst of the ultrasoft BHC source, EXO 1846-031 was reported from the
GRO BASTE observation (IAUC 6096). Since the source is now in declining
phase and it is now at the very end of the ASCA visible window, we install the
observation of EXO 1846-031 on October 22 for about 10 ksec, by shifting the
previously allocated target S50836+715 (JPN, PI: M. Matsuoka) to the week after
November 10. Although we use the 20 ksec span for S50836+715, the visibility
for EXO 1846-031 is worse at this period and we may get exposure time of
only about 12 ksec. The sun-source angle is also not good (about 75 deg)
and the quality of SIS data will be limitted.
