Thanks for organizing this.  I look forward to the meeting!

Here are some things to add to your list that I'm interested
in pursuing:

. Search for faint high velocity ejecta (a la Bykov's model
  for the numerous hard X-ray sources at the Galactic
  center, see A&A, 410, L5, 2003).  These are expected to be
  below 10^{29} erg/s in luminosity, which may be just barely 
  detectable.

. Spectral study of the point source, and search for interaction
  with the surrounding ejecta.

. Quantititive morphological study of Fe vs. Si emission.

I'll send along other ideas as I think of them
