RE: Cas A meeting agenda so far
There will be a projector for power point presentations from your laptop.
You can also bring a cd or memory stick with your presentation and use my
laptop (which runs Windows XP). Mac and Linux users should probably bring
their own computers in case of compatability problems.
Transparencies would be ok too, but powerpoint could then be put on the web
site for everyone to look at later on. There should also be wireless
internet, but for NRL people only (security restriction), so any surfing
will have to be done on my computer.
One other thing I forgot to mention is that cameras of any sort are not
allowed into NRL, even camera cell phones. Ordinary cell phones are ok, but
they might not work in the meeting room, since it is designed for classified
meetings with Faraday cages etc.
We are beginning the meeting at 10.00 on the Thursday 6th. There should be
some coffee and snacks in the meeting room for anyone arriving early. You
can also take a look at our "museum", about Herb Friedman's contributions to
the development of X-ray astronomy. In case you weren't aware, NRL has
launched more satellites than NASA!
Just e-mail the casa_vlp address above with any other questions of this
sort.
