I've not really looked at the page yet; but already I know that I need HELP!

Webspec Logo WebSpec is a WWW interface for the X-ray spectral fitting package, XSPEC. It simulates spectral data for a variety of X-ray missions/instruments. WebSpec can not be used to analyze real data.

Choose a Mission/Instrument

Specify the desired model expression by clicking on a model in the scroll box and indicating via the checkbox whether you want pileup and/or photoelectric absorption.

Pile-up.
X Photoelectric Absorption.
X Available Models

For the more experienced XSPEC users, an advanced version of WebSpec is available allowing models with up to 9 components.
