Group Science Files by Mode

Description:

1. Make a list of the science files for each mode.

2. Count the total number of events contained in the files of each list.

3. Remove the lists of GIS MPC mode or SIS FAINT mode science files, since data in these modes are not easily analyzed.

4. Remove the lists which have a total number of events less than 500 for the GIS and less than 1000 for the SIS.

5. Repeat the above steps, only this time make lists which combine medium and high telemetry rate files.

6. Reformat the file lists into FITS catalog files. The rows of these files contain a filename followed by various keyword values from the header of that file. This is the format required by xselect.
