Changes Between Versions 6.5.2 and 6.5.3
This page lists the detailed changes made in all of the
processing scripts.
The script names are linked to a description of the
current version of each script
- subs/spectra - version 2.1 to 2.2
Added more explicit checking for valid RMFs and ARFs.
Accomodated new parameter syntax in FTOOLS 4.0 addrmf,
though it is still backwards compatible with FTOOLS 3.x
Corrected a bug which used "chip" instead of "chip2" when selecting
masks to extract spectra from individual chips to make RMFs.
- subs/screen - version 1.6 to 2.0
Now applies rev2 screening criteria for GIS data.
Went back to skipping MPC mode files, since you can't extract events,
at least with the current xselect.
Added grade selection (grades 0,2,3,4).
- subs/sources - version 1.5 to 1.6
Now increments the sources counter when there are no counts
within the extraction radius for sky to det coordinate conversion.
Now, when either low or high energy images contain no counts,
issues an exception and makes a black and white colorpic from
the all-energy image. This can happen when the GIS low energy
discriminator (keyword LE_DS) is set to something other than zero.
- subs/readfrfs - version 1.2 to 1.3
Now removes zero and negative GTIs from ALLGTI extensions
which are added to the HK files. This is cleaner, and
keeps compute_exposure from complaining.
- subs/telemetry - version 1.4 to 1.5
Now reports overlaps and gaps as differential number of seconds.
- subs/images - version 1.7 to 1.8
Corrected read/exposure error in ximage script.
Should instead be read/exp_map.
- subs/aspecting - version 1.3 to 1.4
Moved fixatt to be done after aspecting calculations.
Now gives an exception if the maximum aspecting trials was exceeded.
- subs/earthevents - version 1.0 to 1.1
Added "rm -f $clean"s before a number of "continue"s.
Fixed the typo phamax=095 instead of 4095 in cleansis.
This was discovered by Geoff Crew.
Now skips MPC mode files until extract events works.
- subs/header - version 1.2 to 1.3
Changed method for extracting FTOOLS version to accomodate
the new bin directory structure in ftools.4.0 and later.
Note that this is backwards-compatible.
- subs/calsource - version 1.0 to 1.1
Now runs stool test after group_event_files run.
Fixed a bug where the index variable was not incremented.
Now, if there are multiple calsource spectra for a given instrument,
only issues an error if the "bestgroup" (i.e. the one with the
most events in the unfiltered files) has a cal. peak outside
of the allowed tolerance.
- subs/sourceinfo - version 1.0 to 1.1
Now correctly reports the resolution of the GIS source image.
- subs/wrapup - version 1.4 to 1.5
Now chooses the highest resolution (last listed) GIS source
picture for the back cover of the CD.
- util/xselect_test - version 1.5 to 1.6
Started reporting errors for exit code 246.
This is because the new extractor does not die when it
extracts no events.
Now deletes fselect.par .
- util/any_filename - version 1.7 to 1.8
Now includes frame mode file ending in "99.fits".
- util/generate_filename - version 1.10 to 1.11
Removed repro version from "scraps" file name.
- util/setup_parfile - version 1.0 to 1.1
Added some sed commands to remove leading and trailing spaces in
parfile fields. This is necessary for the ghkcurve parfile,
which has a number of spaces in it for readability.
- util/sky2det - version 0.0 to 1.0
Now exits right away if there are no event files.
Also, logs the event files used.
- lists/gis_spectra_keys - version 1.0 to 1.1
Added LE_DS, the low energy discriminator keyword.
- process - version 1.7 to 1.8
Changed WHERE_THE_PARFILE_LIVES to PROCTOP.
- process.par - version 1.6 to 1.7
Changed ftools to ftools 4.0, and changed GIS region filters
to the .4 versions, which have the inner radius of the annulus
listed first.
