GALACTIC PLANE SURVEY
ABSTRACT
Our knowledge of the Galactic X ray sources is quite incomplete due to the Galactic absorption (low energy band) and limited spacial resolution. Due to the limited information, we are till unable to answer the origin of the Galactic diffuse hot plasma, and total number of supernova remnants, X ray pulsars, and other low luminosity X ray sources. We propose a galactic plane survey of the inner galactic ridge. ASCA provides us with the first opportunity to reveil the galactic absorption and make unbiased sample of many category of the galactic X ray sources.
