MEASUREMENT OF LINE PROFILE AND INCLINATION OF NGC4151 WITH ASCA AND XTE

ABSTRACT

We propose an ASCA observation of NGC4151 simultaneous with XTE. Because of strong absorption in this object, the simultaneous ASCA/XTE measurement of the profile of the K-alpha line will be much more accurate than it is possible with ASCA alone. It will also determine, for the first time, the line profile TOGETHER with the Compton-reflection and intrinsic spectrum. This will allow us to test for the presence of an accretion disk as well as to constrain its inclination.
