BRIGHT DISTANT CLUSTERS OF GALAXIES WITH MULTI-NEUCLEI CD GALAXY IN EMSS SAMPLE

ABSTRACT

From X-ray data, any evolutionary effect has not been investigated other than the total X-ray luminosity. The temperature and abundance have not been obtained because of the sensitivity and the band path of the detectors. The capabilities of ASCA enable to investigate the physical parameters of the clusters with medium luminosity (~10^44ergs/s) at the redshift ~ 0.2. The nearby clusters with ~10^44erg/s show the diversity in the morphology and physical parameters. The three distant clusters we selected have the luminosity of ~3 x 10^44erg/s at the redshift ~0.2. Furthermore, they have the cD galaxy with multiple nucleus. These observations will provide most helpful data set for the study of variety of distant clusters and cluster evolution.
