ACCRETION DISK FEATURES IN RADIO-QUIET QUASARS
ABSTRACT
Evidence from an archival study of ASCA quasars suggests that Fe lines, present in the spectra of radio-quiet quasars of moderate luminosity, come from partially ionized material. This is in contrast to the cold lines seen in Seyferts. More luminous quasars appear not to show iron lines. We propose to obtain determinations of iron line energy for three more radio quiet quasars in this intermediate luminosity band and confirm this result which is important for the diagnosis of accretion processes in quasars.
