X-RAY SPECTRA OF WOLF-RAYET GALAXIES ABOVE 2KEV

ABSTRACT

Wolf-Rayet galaxy is active galaxy in which so many Wolf-Rayet stars are found. NGC7714 and NGC5253 are typical and fameous Wolf-Rayet galaxies. Since no observation has been made with ASCA, the nature of the type of galaxies is still unknown. We propose an observation of NGC7714 and NGC5253 as the first Wolf-Rayet galaxy observed with ASCA. Our gouls are as follows; 1) We obtain precise X-ray spectra of the galaxies for the first time. 2) We seach for hard X-ray emission. 3) What is the emission mechanism ?
