Subject: CLUSTERS OF GALAXIES AND SUPERCLUSTERS

SPECTRAL OBSERVATION OF A LOW LUMINOSITY DISTANT RICH CLUSTER OF GALAXIES A777

ABSTRACT

A low luminous distant cluster of galaxies A777(z=0.224) is selected from the complete sample of nine rich cluster (richness >3 and galaxy counts > 200) listed in Abell Catalog. All of which were observed by Einstein. The spectral informations of luminous clusters were obtained by ASCA and Ginga observations. It is important to observe less luminous clusters with similar galaxy counts in relation with the formation and evolution of clusters. The comparison of temperature and abundance between them gives a clues to investigate the cluster merging.
