Hardware Requirements

The INTMAP program runs in a windowing environment on Sun4 and Sun SPARCstations. The input phase requires the windowing environment to display the XView window, however that portion of the program may be bypassed by reading the namelist file directly, in which case any terminal would do.

The program size (when running on the sage machines) is about 10 megabytes although only a fraction of that needs to be resident at any time. However, there may be some memory problems if another large program is running simultaneously and the program should be 'niced' to avoid taking up too many resources away from users. The program will typically require many hours to run because of the CPU intensive processes.
