Hardware Requirements

The PTEXPO program runs in a windowing environment on Sun workstations. The input phase requires the windowing environment to display the XView window, however that portion of the program may be bypassed by reading the namelist file directly, in which case any terminal would do.

The program size (when running on the sage machines) is about 450K bytes although only a fraction of that needs to be resident at any time. The program should be 'niced' to avoid taking up too many resources away from users. The program will typically require a few minutes to run.
