   New Small Scale Sensitivity (SSS) caldb files have been defined for low (conservative), mid 
   (intermediate) or high (aggressive) screening. SSS masks identify regions of 
   the detector where the sensitivity is below a certain threshold in the heat maps.
   The choice of threshold determines the number and size of the low sensitivity regions masked
   and allows depending on the science the tolerance to error in the flux measurements.
   This update is released with CALDB version 20211108 in Feb 22.

           files.The UVOT boresight for the lenticular filters has been drifting
           at about 1 arcsecond per year since early in the mission.
           Two sets of files were generated to correct this drift.
           The first with validity data starting from 20130512 and applicable to all 
           data taken from 2013-06-12 till 2016-03-18. The second with validity data 
           starting 2016-03-18 and applicable to all data taken after 2016-03-18 
           Data taken before 2013-06-12 uses previous released teldef files appropriate
           for that time period.

               The distortion map extensions in the lenticular, magnifier,
              and grism teldef files have been updated.  The new distortion
              maps have been smoothed to eliminate spurious ripples that are
              sometimes seen in UVOT SKY images.  The new teldef files will
              produce SKY images with slightly different sizes and
              astrometry when compared to images processed with the older

                  This contains the radius, in arcseconds, of the aperture that

                  This file contains updated photometric zero points, flux
                  conversion factors, and colour correction polynomials.
                  The flux conversion factors are computed for a mean,
                  low-z gamma-ray burst spectrum.  Effective wavelength keywords
                  have been added for each filter.  These wavelengths assume
                  a Vega spectrum.  The colour corrections convert magnitudes
                  and colours from the native UVOT photometric system to
                  the Johnson system.  Corrections are given for Pickles
                  spectra (stars) and gamma-ray burst spectra.

                 The radial encircled-energy functions have been renormalized
                 so that 100% of the energy in enclosed in an aperture with
                 a radius of 5 arcsec.  The radial encircled-energy functions
                 are approximate only.  They assume that there is no variation

                 rate.  They should be treated as having an uncertainty of
                 approximately 10%.

           *) On May 5 2006 (release date) the content of UVOT CALDB directory
              for the unit A, uvota, was renamed uvota_pre20060505.
              All files and indices delivered before May 5 2006
              can be found under uvota_pre20060505.
          
              This was replaced by a new uvota CALDB tree where only the 
              good files delivered up to 5 May 2006 were maintained. 
              This new directory tree fixes the problem with the files
              named 'rmf'  that were infact 'rsp' and includes the 
              latest response files. The 'rmf' directory has been replaced by 
              the 'rsp' directory.
          
              Future updates of the UVOT CALDB will be placed
              in this new directory tree.
