Current RXTE GOF staffing:
- Smale (50%), Boyd (50%),
- Saunders, Watanabe, Tripicco (25%), Rohrbach (25%)
Continuing community support services (xtehelp mail, online Web page information, organizing and supporting proposal submission and Peer Review)
Fully-electronic proposal submission inaugurated for Cycle 7 (last year)
Cycle 8 release due: Summer 2002
Streamlined approach to data processing, data distribution (all data processing occurs in the SOC; GO data now distributed online)
New Standard Products generated for archival data up to ~end of Cycle 4
Still a need for direct human involvement and time commitment, especially regarding:
- TOOs with TBD assignment
- Special handling of processing anomalies (data with gaps; data with reconstructed attitude information; OBSCAT failures; etc)
Total RXTE papers in refereed journals: >600, stable at ~150 papers/yr
