End: 2020-07-15 00:00 UTC
Remarks: We have an accepted monitoring program with Swift/XRT between June 25 and July 25. In case the Lx of the system during the anticipated outburst we request NICER to observe the target with 10 ks observing time spread over 1-2 days. Given the complex structure of the burst (double peaked & x-ray eclipse in the middle), observations should be performed within 2 days after confirming Lx with XRT.
ToO: Y
Coordinate Observation: Y
Observatory: Swift
Description:
Uninterrupted: Y
Justification: Each NICER snapshot should be >1000 s to obtain enough counts to measure pulsations for each snapshot. Alternatively 500 s exposures could be acceptable visits are stacked close in time.
Estimated Count Rate (cts s-1): 2.000
