Constraint Details

Monitor: Y
Criteria: We are organizing the multi-wavelength observations in two sessions. The FAST observations are 2.5 hours each, while the others are longer. We, therefore, request 9 ks per observation with NICER, 18 ks in total. The two sessions are required to be in MJDs 59548-59558, 59576-59586 when the Crab pulsar is free from the Sun/Moon restrictions, with a time interval of more than 3 days.

Specific Time: Y
Start: 2021-11-30 14:30 UTC
End: 2022-01-07 18:30 UTC
Remarks: To avoid the target being near the Moon, we ask for observations in MJDs 59548-59558, 59576-59586. Also, to most detect low-intensity GRPs and to conduct optical observations, we request a specific time range when FAST has the best sensitivity during nighttime in Japan: to be centered on MJD 0.729 (17:30) during MJDs 59548-59558, and be centered on MJD 0.653 (15:40) during MJDs 59576-59586 in UTC.
ToO: Y
Coordinate Observation: Y
Observatory: [ALL GUARANTEED] FAST 500M (CHINA), IPRT, IBARAKI 32M, YAMAGUCHI 34M, KISO, KANATA (JAPAN)
Description: We plan multi-band simultaneous detections of pulses from the Crab pulsar in optical, radio, and X-ray bands. In the radio band, we use multi-frequency observations using FAST 500 m in China, IPRT, Ibaraki 32 m, Yamaguchi 34 m telescopes in Japan. Optical observations will be conducted by Kiso and Kanata telescopes in Japan. Observations by telescopes in Japan would be longer than those by FAST.
Uninterrupted: Y
Justification: We request NICER to observe simultaneously with FAST. Because the FAST observations are only 2 hours 20 minutes per epoch, we ask for uninterrupted observations to fully cover the FAST observations.
Estimated Count Rate (cts s-1): 11000.000
