Strong X-ray Sources

The detectors in the focus of the XRT must be protected from exposure to very strong X-ray sources. At present, the only forbidden source is Sco X-1 (16 tex2html_wrap_inline2246 19 tex2html_wrap_inline2248 54.9 tex2html_wrap_inline2250 tex2html_wrap_inline2252 ). No ROSAT pointing will be scheduled with Sco X-1 in the field of view. Note that this constraint applies to both the PSPC and HRI. MPE will update the strong source list when necessary.
