ROSAT Guest Observer Facility

How is deadtime calculated?

(1/7/92)

The deadtime is calculated every two seconds, and merged into the exposure map. The deadtime is a constant of 140 microsec for an individual MV event, and the differential deadtime varies with the Master Veto rate (as 140 MV microsec per sec) (**see Snowden et al. ApJ, 393, 819, 1992). No additional information has been made available.
