The value of the parameter is obtained by calling the correct PIL code for the actual parameter type. That is, if the parameter type is bool, the code in PILGetBool will be called, if a string, PILGetString will be called etc. Therefore, please consult the detailed description of the relevant function for specific behavior for each parameter type.
