NAME

srcdetect - [P] Source detection which runs xselect and then detect

PARAMETERS

          -h         - only help on srcdetect will be shown and exit
          -e {file}  - Input source events file (*.fits)
          -p {pixsiz}- Pixel size in arcsec for xselect
          -x {file}  - Input exposure map  file
          -i {PSPC/HRI} - detector name 
          -l {#}     - lower PI Channel if PSPC 
          -u {#}     - upper PI Channel if PSPC
          -s {#}     - Input statistical significance
          -c {#}     - Input threshold count rate
          -m {y/n}   - Input whether masking file is requested 
          -v {#}     - chatter no.

EXAMPLES

srcdetect -h

will show only the help for this task.

srcdetect

will prompt the user for input parameters (files).

srcdetect -e filename1 -p pixsz -x filename2 -s 5.0 -c 0.01

will use command line paramters for input

                 event file = filename1
                 size of pixel = pixsz
                 exposure map = filename2 
                 significance=5
                 threshold cnts/sec = 0.01 

KNOWN BUGS

Only PSPC observations are supported. Working on HRI image mapping needed for this task.
